Summary

The EMILY project pursues a realistic system study together with technological development in view of the implementation of very efficient location services exploiting terrestrial and satellite location data The proposed concept is investigating the coupling of terrestrial positioning named E-OTD/OTDOA in TDMA and CDMA telecommunication networks and the satellite-based positioning named GNSS in the context of handset based solutions. In addition to this, other hybridisation relevant to the automotive environment will also be investigated.
