Biography

Jordi Borras received his M.Sc. in Telecommunications Engineering in 2018 and his Ph.D. in Signal Theory and Communications in 2023, both from the Technical University of Catalonia (UPC), Barcelona, Spain. From 2017 to 2023, he was a member of the Signal Processing and Communications Research Group (SPCOM) at UPC. He then joined the Atlantic Research Center for Telecommunication Technologies (atlanTTic) at the University of Vigo, Spain, as a Postdoctoral Researcher, where he worked from May 2023 to June 2025. Since June 2025, he has been an Assistant Professor in the Department of Signal Theory and Communications at UPC.

He has been actively involved in several research projects funded by the Spanish Government and the European Commission. His research interests include statistical signal processing, wireless communications, and information theory. In 2018, he was awarded a Predoctoral Fellowship (FPI) by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation. In 2024, he received the Best Ph.D. Thesis Award in Telecommunication Technologies, jointly granted by the atlanTTic Research Center and the Spanish Section of the IEEE. He is a member of the IEEE and regularly serves as a reviewer for various high-impact journals and international conferences.
