TROPIC project granted in the 8th call of the 7th FP

In the research programme of the TROPIC project (www.ict-tropic.eu), the pervasive nature of smallcells deployments is exploited. It is assumed that smallcells can implement cloudlets and therefore communication, computation and storage resources are approached efficiently to the user equipment. The participants are UPC, Universita di Roma La Sapienza, Dune, CEA-LIST, Czech Technical University, Sequans, ATOS, Telkom, 4GCellEx and CINI. Activities are scheduled from Sep 2012 through Feb 2015 and are coordinated by professor Josep Vidal.
