Antonio Pascual Iserte received the Electrical Engineering degree and the Ph.D. degree from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), Barcelona, in September 2000 and February 2005, respectively. He was awarded with the "First National Prize of 2000/2001 University Education" by the Spanish Ministry of Education and Culture, and with the "Best 2004/2005 PhD Thesis Prize" by UPC.

From September 1998 to June 1999 he worked as a Teaching Assistant in the field of microprocessor programming in the Electronic Engineering department at UPC, and from June 1999 to December 2000 he was with Retevision R&D, working on the implantation of the DVB-T and T-DAB networks in Spain. In January 2001, he joined the Department of Signal Theory and Communications at the UPC, where he worked as a Research Assistant until September 2003 thanks to a predoctoral grant from the Catalan Government for the funding of the PhD studies. He became Assistant Professor in September 2003 and since April 2008 he is Associate Professor. Currently, he teaches undergraduate courses in Linear Systems and Signal Theory. He also teaches post-graduate courses in Advanced Signal Processing in the Dept. of Signal Theory and Communications.

His current research interests include: array processing, robust designs, OFDM, MIMO channels, multiuser access, and optimization theory. He has been involved in several research projects funded by the Spanish Government and the European Commission. He has also published several papers in international and national conference and journals.

Antonio Pascual Iserte was a visiting researcher at the Centre Tecnològic de Telecomunicacions de Catalunya (CTTC) in the period from October 2005 to September 2012. During this period he was involved in the areas of radio-communications and engineering and was active in several engineering and European research projects. In particular, we worked in the testbed GEDOMIS, an experimental real-time physical layer platform for validating multi-antenna MIMO solutions with real wireless transmission. The role of Antonio Pascual in this project was in the development of signal processing algorithms for their implementation in the baseband stages of the platform, the validation of the proposed solutions, the definition of procedures for the debugging of the developed algorithms using the hardware platform, and the advising on the new strategic scenarios to be considered and lines of work to be carried out using the testbed.
